Here's what eqos has to say about her creation:

I drafted patterns based loosely on the construction method found for the Bocksten Bog Man's clothing as well as other archeological evidences, after doing some research to find that the Vikings of the era I'm going for had similar construction methods.

Smock: Made of white 100% linen, used this pattern: [link]

Gown: Made of green 100% wool in a lighter weight, decorated with woven ribbon along the front of the bodice, and on the sleeves. Used this pattern: [link] My research indicated that this layer was the only layer, as far as evidence suggests, to have sewn-on trimming and embroidery, and that it was usually on the bodice and/or sleeves.

Napron: Made of blue 100% wool felt. Used this pattern: [link]

This is meant to be garb for the 900's, Scandanavia/Norse area.

That's a very cool ensemble. I bet it's nice and warm too, with those lovely layers. Very nice.

I like that outfit a lot. I haven't seen any other costumes of that time or place before. You are a talented seamstress, and it sounds like you are a decent historian as well.
