This is my first version of a 16th century Flemish style peasant gown. I drafted the patterns based around the paintings of Joachim Beuckelaer and Pieter Aertsen. It was entirely hand-sewn and each item is fully reversible for a variety of color combinations depending on my mood.
The gown is mainly test patterns, so I didn't spend much on fabric. It's made of five king size flat sheets and four pillow cases; a total of $25 went into the fabric and everything else I need for the entire outfit. The sheets were 70% cotton.
More information, reference paintings, and alternate photos can be found linked to my original deviation.
