They are okay, but with the joining part how you have to write why you want to join.. I can never think of reasons. ^_^ Nuh, it's okay. Don't change anything.

Honestly, the "why" is more for me so I can figure out what people are interested in. It doesn't need to be anything fancy.

yeah, I'm used to people asking for 25 words or less why I want to join something..

I especially agree with the part about movie costumes. IMHO, they are beside the point of the club. Sometimes, I fell if I see another Arwen dress, I'll scream... :omfg: I don't get the idea of trying to reproduce exactly movie costumes :O_o: They sometimes show an awesome amount of skill, but I prefer original creations.

I will clarify that. Pretty much that is what I was expecting. Although, I do like getting essays from time to time.

I know where you are coming from. Also, there are several groups with a movie/cosplay focus so those reproductions would be better suited there. Truthfully, on the completely other end of the spectrum I tend to feel the same way about portrait reproductions. Although, given the focus of the group I am willing to look the other way on that one (especially if the portait is cited and documented), but submissions that follow the same guidelines regarding movie costumes are preferred.

Basically, the feeling of these guidelines is good. It lets you get a feeling about the club, but without feeling like the people here are being annoying. Thank you!
