Stahlrose - Widow's Ballgown

Here is what Stahlrose has to say about her gown:

I decided to make some extra pieces for that gown for use as a ballgown, so I took some remaining cotton velvet for the waist. It is trimmed with sequins, glass beads, cord and lace, just like the polonaise bodice of the day dress and the skirt.
I finished the bodice already half a year ago.

Last week I made tha draped overskirt because I wanted to wear that dress on Göttertanz last night.

The pics were taken short time before we went there, so I am fully styled for the party.
I even love what I've done with my hair, normally I'm not very talented, my hair is quite short at the neck and so it's hard to make any period hairdo ... at least I don't know any era for which violet hair would be period "
